Cassia has arrived at the match banquet, this is the pathway to walk across to get into the building. The nervous ness sets in as she's walking down this long pathway, not knowing what to expect. This scene is located just outside the match banquet hall. This setting is only seen when you are going to your Matching Banquet. Everyone in the novel Matched would see this once they have their 17th birthday. Cassia is hoping to accomplish getting matched with someone that is good for her, someone that will be there for the rest of her life. Cassia was excited for the Matching Banquet, but once she got in it and her name got called she was excited to know who it was, but the screen went blank. Cassia didn't react that well, as she thought she wasn't going to get a match. Afterwards she found out that it was her bestfriend Xander. She was happy that it was Xander because she has been bestfriends with him, so she's already knew him and what he was like.
